The Fiji Police Force is warning members of the public that throwing plastics of water onto moving vehicles are not allowed.
Chief of Operations, ACP Rusiate Tudravu says that this can cause road mishaps and should be stopped.
”Just a warning to youth, members of the public of throwing water to vehicles that are passing by to please can all these exercise not to be done as it can cause a lot of accidents on our roads if moving vehicles are being thrown at with plastic waters. We haven’t received as many reports so far but this will be coming up in the week so just an awareness on the general public on that.”
Tudravu says they have deployed police officers who are part of their community policing team to ensure the safety of the public during the weeklong New Year’s celebrations.
He adds all divisions have recorded less police case reports during the New Year’s Eve celebrations as they continue with Operations Yalodei.
