Police warn peddlers they will find hidden drugs

A forty-two-year-old man and a thirty-one-year-old woman have been charged following a drug raid in Lautoka on Thursday.

The duo have been charged with one count each of being found in possession of illicit drugs.

Chief of Operations, ACP Rusiate Tudravu, says the raid was conducted by the west team after they received information.

ACP Tudravu says the team sought assistance from the Water Authority officials when they suspected the man had disposed of the drugs.

The team extracted close to thirty parcels containing marijuana from the sewer lines at the men’s residence.

The two will appear at the Lautoka Magistrates Court tomorrow.

ACP Tudravu says they will reach out to every government departments, private and public entities to achieve their fight against drugs.
