The Fiji Police Force will do whatever it takes to ensure that law and order are maintained.

With a busy schedule expected for this year, officers have been reminded of the expectation to deliver.

Plans are now underway for a major operation to be carried out during the elections.

Chief of Operations ACP Rusiate Tudravu says their preparations will ensure a free and fair election is on track.

“I can state to you that our preparation is well underway, in terms of manpower and other logistics that we have so we are gearing towards that, Part of our operation is to manage our security and criminal landscape and that is part of our operation so you will expect this year a lot of operations to be done”

The Police Force has already presented its election operation plan to the cabinet.
