Police to control crowd in court

Police have cordoned off certain areas of the Suva High Court premises ahead of Jezreel Lion of Judah Church leader Jone Cokanauto ’s sentencing this morning.

It is believed officers are putting measures to control the crowd, as a large number of people came in support of the rapist pastor yesterday.

Pastor Cokanauto has been convicted of ten counts of sexual offenses which includes five counts of rape, one count of attempted rape and four counts of indecent assault.

Cokanauto raped four women of his church congregation from 2002 to 2015.

He will be sentenced at 11:30am.
