Drugs and cash seized from a Ra home

A raid conducted in Ra yesterday resulted in the seizure of more than 200 rolls of dried leaves wrapped in aluminum foil believed to be marijuana.

The drugs were seized from the home of a 50-year-old man in Drauniivi village.

Police Spokesperson Ana Naisoro says the rolls were allegedly found stashed in a bucket and buried under ground.

A total of $4000 cash was also found during the raid.

The team consisted of officers from the Western Division Taskforce and the K9 Unit.

Police investigation continues.

Meanwhile, officers from the Southern Division raided a farm in Dakunikoro, Pacific Harbour and seized more than 30 plants believed to be marijuana on Thursday.

Acting on information received, officers raided the farm where they found the plants believed to be marijuana ranging from a height of 30cm to 240cm.

The owner of the farm is known.
