Police search for person who uploaded explicit video

The Fiji Police Cybercrime Unit is working to track down the person who uploaded explicit video of two students that were involved in graphic sexual activity on social media.

Spokesperson, Ana Naisoro says information received from the public will greatly help them find the person responsible for sharing the footage on on-line which went viral on several chat groups on Facebook.

”At this pointing time, we really need to established the fact that it was uploaded without their consent. Particular interest to us is the age of the girl because of the fact that they could be charged for defilement because of the age. There are charges.”

Naisoro is urging members of the public to stop sharing the graphic video.

Police are also pleading with the public to call crime Stoppers on 919 if they have any information on this case which could assist them.
