Police are looking for the mother of a new born baby whose body was found at the Suva Point Foreshore early yesterday morning.

The body was found by a thirty-two-year-old woman of Wailea Street, in Vatuwaqa.

The woman was looking for herbs for medicine when she noticed a bag with cloth on the beach.

She picked up the bag and found a newly formed baby boy.

Police spokesperson, Ana Naisoro, says the body was taken to the CWM Hospital and he was confirmed dead.

The body of the baby is now kept at CWM mortuary awaiting Post Mortem.

Investigation continues.
