Police Remembrance Day for fallen comrades

The Fiji Police Force held a Police Remembrance Day today for officers who died in the line of duty.

Minister for Defense, Timoci Natuva says Remembrance Day helps the public acknowledge the dangers of the policing profession, the importance of sacrifice of these brave officers and the impediments that lie ahead.

‘’Today also help us to legalize the friendship and loyalty of our colleges. And the importance of them such as internity,trust and respect of policing. These shared values are part of the equine that binds us together as a policing family’’.

Natuva, Commissioner of Police Ben Groenewald, senior police officers, relatives of fallen comrades observed a minute of silence.

This was followed by the laying of 12 wreaths for officers who died in the line of duty.
