Police raid nets 50 marijuana plants in Navosa

50 marijuana plants were uprooted by Police at a farm in the highlands of Navosa over the weekend.

Police spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri says they raided the farm through the help of the local community.

Some other farms the officers got to were already harvested.

The raid was a joint effort by officers from the Western Division and the Police Canine Unit.

Meanwhile, in Taveuni, police arrested two men suspected of dealing with marijuana after a plastic bag full of dried leaves was found in their possession.

The two are being held at the Taveuni Police Station.
