Police program to empower relationship with youths

One hundred and forty five teams to date have registered for the two-day MV Solar Western Division Youth Engagement and Empowering Sports tournament.

The program coincides with the National Sports Day this Friday and ends on Saturday at Churchill Park, Lautoka.

Thirty Police posts in the Western Division are behind the initiative, partnering with the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

The theme is “Youth Engagement and Empowering in Sports”.

Divisional Police Commander West, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Marika Kotoisuva said the tournament was initiated with the aim of bringing together the Police and members of the youth community so as to forge a partnership in combating and preventing crime.
