Police pleading for assistance in identifying a victim

Police are pleading for assistance in identifying an i-Taukei man believed to be in his 20s who was a victim of an alleged murder.

Spokesperson, Ana Naisoro says investigators need to identify the victim before a post mortem can be conducted to ascertain the cause of death.

Naisoro says the alleged murder took place after 10pm on Thursday night at the Suva foreshore.

She says two men who were nearby the place, found the victim lying in a pool of blood.

Naisoro adds that earlier in the night, the victim had passed one of the eyewitness and he was accompanied by another youth.

The victim is an I-taukei male believed to be in his 20s and was wearing light blue shorts and a red Naitasiri rugby jersey.
