Three police officers convicted and jailed for the death of robbery suspect Tevita Malasebe will have their appeal hearing case on August 9, 2012 at the Appeals Court in Suva.

Former Valelevu-based police officers Lole Vulaca, Rusiate Korovusere and Pita Matai have filed an appeal against their sentence.

Former Judge Nahzat Shameem sentenced Vulaca and Korovusere to life while Matai has already served his two years in prison and has been released.

They appeared before Judge Anthony Gates.
