“He came around, pushed all the passengers from the door step and came inside and hand to my neck – and wanted to pull me away from the steering wheel. See my shirt buttons are torn and nearly I nearly bumped into the vehicle in front."

Meanwhile Fiji Bus Operators Association president Richard Lal says the incident is serious and should be looked into.

“An officer of the law has done such a thing. Obviously it makes it a lot more serious. I guess the process has to take place and whoever is responsible should be taken to task because nobody should be taking the law into their own hands.”

The Land Transport Authority says it is the right of the driver to report the matter to police.
