Police looking for rape suspect

Police are still looking for a man who allegedly assaulted and raped a 23 year old girl along Holland Street in Suva in broad daylight yesterday.

It is alleged the woman was attacked by a man while walking along the road in front of the Laxmi Narayan Temple.

The student is admitted at the CWM hospital.

Meanwhile, Naibuka Nagalalevu who was doing repair works at the temple recalls seeing a man running away from scene and into a creek on the opposite side of the road at around mid-day yesterday.

He says he could hear the dogs barking and when he stood up to check, he saw a man run across the fence to go down the creek beside the temple.

Nagalalevu says when was walking towards a shop he saw the same guy washing his face in the creek however he could not see his face.
