Police look into claims Indian gangsters were here

Fiji Police are investigating claims that a group of gangsters from India were in the country last week.

The Times of India reports that Chhota Rajan – the boss of a major crime syndicate in India – was in Fiji and had fled to Indonesia where he was later arrested.

Another gangster boss Chota Shakeel told the Times of India, his boys were in Fiji last week and had jammed Rajan’s hideouts, forcing him to flee to Indonesia.

Fiji Police Chief Intelligence and Investigation ACP Henry Brown says – they are looking into the issue right now.
