Police are recording and issuing hundreds of traffic infringement notices around the country on a daily basis.
Spokesperson, Ana Naisoro says this clearly shows the behaviours of some drivers on the road despite numerous awareness on road safety.
Naisoro says speeding tops the list of traffic infringements.
“Speeding continues to be a major concern for us. On a daily and weekly basis we’re recording hundreds of traffic infringements notices and we’re issuing hundreds of traffic infringement notices for speeding. So while the awareness is going out there, people are still not changing their attitude and that’s clearly reflected in the number of traffic infringement notices that we’re issuing.”
Meanwhile, police are also advising the public to be vigilant and alert while using the road.
