A Police investigation into photos gone viral on Facebook depicting three men who appear physically abused, and in one sequence restrained – continues.

Police Commissioner Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho has reiterated that the photos were taken in 2009 are in no way linked to the current nation-wide – Operation Cavuraka.

“I won’t be able to give you an update, but I can assure the people of Fiji that our investigations are on-going and we’ll make a release once we gather all the information that we can from the investigations that we are doing right now.”

Cavuraka is a joint operation of Police and the R Fiji M F which since in June has seen the confiscating hundreds of thousands of marijuana plants and multiple arrests.
