Police investigate sexual harassment allegations

Police have confirmed that they have received a sexual harassment report against the chief executive of a prominent company.

Police Spokesperson Ana Naisoro says the complaint was lodged in September at the Totogo Police Station.

Naisoro says the investigation was taken over by the Criminal Investigations Department headquarters.

She says the complainant later asked to withdraw the case, however, the matter is now with the Criminal Investigations Department which is waiting to interview the alleged victim.

Police also confirmed the complainant has not been forthcoming.

Naisoro says police have been investigating for some time and says claims the matter was taken up by CID after it was highlighted on social media are untrue.
