A police investigation is now underway into reports that water tanks are being damaged in some parts of the Western Division.

The Water Authority lodged complaints from the Waiyavi area in Bulileka, Calcutta and Kaunitoni Street in Lautoka.

WAF board Director, Kamal Goundar, claims residents are vandalizing the tanks by taking out the fittings and pipe, and in some instances, sticks have been put inside the tank.
