The Fiji Police Force has signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Medical Services Pacific for another two years.
The agreement is aimed at helping the Force to provide better services to victims of sexual offences with the assistance of Medical Services Pacific.
Police Commissioner, Ben Groenewald says the services will assist in the reduction of trauma experienced by victims.
“More than one can make use of it, it is in-fact the prerogative of a victim to go to any public or private hospital and these are services rendered free of cost and it’s done by professionals a gynecologist is doing the examination and the medical examination and they are supported by professional people in trauma.”
The initial agreement was last signed in 2012.
