A team of Police divers will depart for Totoya in Lau this evening to assist in the search for a 31-year-old diver who went missing in Lau waters last month.

Spokesperson Ana Naisoro says the 31year old failed to surface when diving for beche-de-mer with two others who later raised the alarm.

The divers will depart tonight on the MV Iloilovatu and Naisoro says they are grateful to Government shipping for facilitating the stopover.

The team will analyse the situation and the weather before progressing with their search.
