The Internal Affairs Unit of the Fiji Police Force is in the process of finalizing an investigation into an alleged assault of a Lautoka businessman.
Rajneel Singh claims he burnt with a hot piece of metal by a group of police officers after he attended the Ba Police Station last month.
In a statement the Fiji Police Force says further comments will be made towards the end of next week regarding the status of the investigations.
Singh, who runs an internet shop found emails which allegedly discussed plots to assassinate government ministers and some members of the Opposition.
More officers have been included in investigations regarding the alleged plot to destabilize the government.
More information will be released once substantial progress has been made.
