Police Commissioner Major General Ben Groenewald has issued a stern warning to 109 police recruits saying he will not tolerate any misconduct and improper application of police processes.
Groenewald adds steps are being taken to reduce the number of civil litigation against the Force.
He spoke to the recruits at the opening of a basic recruit course at the Fiji Police Academy in Suva today.
This is the second of the internal recruitment drive conducted by the Force.
Police officers from the regular force and special constabulary will be undergoing the four-month basic recruits’ course for the first time.
The new recruits have been advised and encouraged to use their time wisely and ensure they’re fully equipped with proper knowledge of the law and policing functions.
