December 16, 2015 3:36 am

Police are expecting a lot of drug related activities ahead of the festive season as people will be looking to make quick money.

Chief Operations officer ACP Rusiate Tudravu is calling on the public’s assistance to report illegal activities to Crime Stoppers on 919.

This comes after a team of officers raided the farm of a 25-year-old suspect in Nakaugasele village in Kadavu and uprooted 334 plants believed to be marijuana.

ACP Tudravu says they received a tip of the suspect’s alleged involvement in the cultivation of marijuana.

The suspect remains in custody awaiting analysis of the plants as investigation continues.

ACP Tudravu says they’re not only focused on the cultivation and sale of drugs in Kadavu, but throughout the four divisions too.
