Police call on parents for improved supervision

Police in the Western division have seen a number of young people loitering around town in the early hours of the morning and are calling on parents for adult supervision.

With the Chow Games being held today and tomorrow followed by the FBC Park Jam – Police will monitor people that will be attending these events to ensure that everyone is safe during the two day activity.

Western Divisional Acting Police Commander SSP Abdul Khan says there have been cases where children were separated from their parents unknowingly.

He adds there have also been cases where children’s whereabouts during odd hours are not known.

SSP Khan says their community policing teams are conducting awareness sessions at schools.

Parents are advised to play their part in monitoring and supervising their children’s activities at all times.”
