August 20, 2018 12:46 am

Various government institutions are expected to make presentations to the Methodist Church Conference meeting which starts today.

Acting General Secretary Reverend Jeremaia Waqainabete says institutions like the Fiji Police Force and the Fiji Correction Service will also be part of their meeting.
Waqainabete says discussions will be based on ways the church can assist the institutions and at the same time help the youth.

“The whole organisation is trying to work with the church and the vanua and also the church is thankful that we can be part of this program and the truth is that the church is called to take care of inmates.”

Waqainabete says a lot of youths who commit unlawful acts are members of the church and it’s their duty to assist the Fiji Police Force and the Fiji Correction Service.
