The Fiji Police Force has acknowledge the support of the public enabling major events held in main towns and cities to be largely incident free.

Police Chief of Operations ACP Rusiate Tudravu says it was great to see people of all walks of life converge at the main street party venues enjoying the night to welcome 2018.

He says with the aid of a command vehicle and the deployment of a drone, operations was able to keep a close eye on the movements of party revelers at the two street party locations in Suva.

ACP Tudravu says similar reports were received about street parties held in other divisions that were also incident free.
