PM visits villages in Sigatoka

The Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama today visited the flood affected villages along the coral coast on his way down to the western division.

FBC reporter Apisalome Coka is with the Prime Minister in Sigatoka and filed this report:

“Commodore Bainimarama has started his visit here at Nayawa village evacuation centre, Laselase village evacuation center, Korotogo before making his way down to Nasigatoka.

Bainimarama has directed the Divisional Planning Officer Western Luke Moraivalu and his men to start cleaning the rivers and drains which tend to get blocked hence the flooding.

The PM also directed that work must start immediately once the machinery is available."

Meanwhile villagers of Nasigatoka today thanked the PM for the efforts made in getting food and water rations across to them and in taking time out to visit them today.
