PM updated on schools affected by TC Winston

Repairs to all schools affected by Tropical Cyclone Winston are expected to be completed by October next year.

This was revealed by the Ministry of Economy’s Construction Intelligence Unit Manager Mohammed Shah while briefing Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama yesterday.

The Prime Minister was told that out of the 162 affected schools, 306 buildings were newly constructed, 836 needed major upgrades, 54 needed minor works while five schools were on hold.
