Bainimarama adds that being the President of COP23 provides a platform for the Pacific Region to have a voice.
The Prime Minister says the farewell ceremony has given him confidence in representing the nation.
More than 7,000 people will be attending the COP23 meeting on the first day and Bainimarama will leave next Monday.
