Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama continues his visit to flood affected areas to get first hand information on the effect of damage caused by the floods.
He is expected to visit the western division on Monday.
His trip was cut short on Saturday as he could not proceed through Nadi because of the damage to the Navo Bridge.
But as Apisalome Coka reports, the PM is adamant of making it through.
“Commodore Bainimarama is now making his way to Naqali, Naitasiri and then to Wailotua in Wainibuka. In a short briefing in Nausori, Bainimarama was informed on the situation regarding the three provinces Rewa, Naitasiri and Tailevu. Another two depressions are expected over Fiji soon. One which is outside Malolo and the other, just left Vanuatu. Bainimarama says it is important for the public to be vigilant with the current weather situation.”
