PM opens new Legal Aid Office in Bua

Services offered by the Legal Aid Commission is now accessible for the wider Vanua Levu community.

This comes as Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama opened a new Legal Aid office in Nabouwalu, Bua.

This is also the third Legal Aid office to officially open its doors to the community in just three days.

One was opened in Labasa on Tuesday and another in Savusavu yesterday.

Bainimarama says a team of professional staff will be available to provide free counsel on a range of legal matters, including legal services in the areas of family, criminal and civil law.

He says they are helping realize the right of every woman, man and child in Fiji to access legal services.

Legal Aid services is available to those who have an annual income of less than $15,000.
