PM opens new complex

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama opened a new shopping complex estimated to be worth $3 million dollars at Votualevu in Nadi this afternooon.

Bainimarama says the project is an example of how dual citizenship is helping former residents return and invest in their country of birth.

The shopping complex belongs to Bobby Khan who left Fiji after the 1987 coup.

Khan has since returned and invested in the project and his three companies in Fiji have created 61 jobs.
He also plans to build a hotel near Sonaisali together with a retirement village and a hospital in the future.
