PM launches Navakavu National Development Plan

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama opened the Navakavu High Level Conference in Lami this morning.

Bainimarama says this marks the launch of the Navakavu Revitalisation Plan from 2018-2022, a plan that builds upon the strategic blueprint laid out in Fiji’s 5-year and 20-year National Development Plan.

He says the revitalisation plan is a culmination of the villagers’ vision, priorities and wisdom which is an incredibly important document.

The Yavusa Navakavu Strategic Plan 2018 – 2022 is the first comprehensive plan to bring together the intention of the “Vanua” as part of national development.

There are 130 households that make up the five villages (Muaivuso, Nabaka, Waiqanake, Namakala and Ucuinamono) of the landowning unit of Navakavu.
