Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has labelled the Opposition SODELPA MPs walkout at the special Parliament sitting for the appointment of the President, disrespectful.

Speaking to FBC News outside of Parliament, Bainimarama says the SODELPA MPs seem to have made a habit out of staging a walkout whenever they’re unsatisfied with proceedings.

“To tell you the truth, we couldn’t figure out why they walked out but I think it was very disrespectful of them. I don’t know what their voters are going to say, they keep walking out of Parliament every, looks like every Parliament sitting, they’ll be walking out so they spring a surprise on us this morning.”
