Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has hit out at Fiji Times claiming they are cooking up false drama.

Bainimarama says this kind of misleading reports will not distract his government as they want to give the best to all Fijians.

The Prime Minister did not mince his words saying incorrect reporting was becoming irritating.

“Only a few days ago, they’ve reported on students schooling in tents, when in reality they are in brand new school buildings. They’ve reported on children travelling in inner tubes to school, when in reality they are now travelling by boat.”

With government putting its focus on creating a knowledgeable society with free education, Bainimarama says they will continue to do so despite the ill-intentions.

“But gimmicky reporting won’t distract my Government. We are committed to staying the course. We are committed to our students, their parents and our teachers. We are committed to Fiji.”

In delivering the best for young Fijians, the Prime Minister today handed over assistance worth 130 thousand dollars to CMF College in Tacirua.
