PM continues visit to flood affected areas

Prime Minister, Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama will today continues his tour of the flood stricken areas and he will be visiting the people of Sigatoka Valley.

The PM and his government team visited Rewa villagers yesterday to assess the damages caused by the recent floods.

While touring villages in Rewa Commodore Bainimarama highlighted that education should be prioritised and damages to farms also needs to be assessed.

Bainimarama told the villagers that the purpose of his visit is to look at areas that need urgent attention.

Villagers have requested the PM to look at ways to stop flooding as they have gone through similar incidents in the past also caused serious damages to their crops.

The PM replied that one of the priorities is for parents to ensure that their children start school on Tuesday and to ensure that toddlers at Evacuation centres practice good hygiene.
