Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has congratulated his Australian counterpart, Malcolm Turnbull, on the re-election of the Conservative Liberal Party in the Federal Elections.

In his congratulatory message, Prime Minister Bainimarama said Fiji is keen to work closely with the newly elected Australian Government to strengthen bilateral ties and look at ways in which the two nations can strengthen cooperation in the region and on the global stage.

Prime Minister Bainimarama also extended an invitation to Prime Minister Turnbull to make an official visit to Fiji.

He added that every Fijian joins him in wishing Turnbull success in the months and years ahead.

The Conservative Liberal Party-led Cabinet was sworn-in yesterday.
