PM ciriticises SODELPA

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama says he is amazed SODELPA has not joined him strongly condemning these elements threatening the integrity of our nation and the health of our economy.
Speaking at an event in Suva yesterday, Bainimarama says this can only mean one thing: that SODELPA also doesn’t respect the will of the Fijian people, freely and democratically expressed at the last election.
He says the Party is failing to defend democracy and is giving comfort to those the democratically elected government to be overturned – a sure evidence of betrayal of democracy and the Fijian people.
Bainimarama says this also confirms that SODELPA is not only totally unfit to govern but is unfit to even sit in a democratically elected parliament.
FBC News has made numerous attempts to get comments from SODELPA General Secretary Pio Tabaiwalu and Leader RO Teimumu Kepa, but our calls were not answered.
