Plans are in place to strengthen private-public partnership with stakeholders in the agriculture industry.

Agriculture Minister Dr. Mahendra Reddy says this will improve coordination to establish effective market access for farmers.

Dr. Reddy says there’s an urgent need to boost the export market to generate enough foreign revenue that’s critical for the economy.

This will contribute to the development of the sector as well.

Dr Reddy adds the government will also continue to improve soil fertility to ensure improved and efficient dalo production.

It will also continue developing commodities for the local and export markets which is a key priority for the Ministry.

Dr Reddy says they will continue to invest in resources towards strengthening programs centered on improving the soil fertility status in dalo growing areas for enhanced production.

This is especially for targeted areas in the Central and Northern Divisions.
