Plans for new health software

The Ramakrishna Mission in Fiji believes that anyone who is suffering from an NCD but is still able to do things for themselves, does not necessarily need direct health care.

Without having patients continuously visiting the hospital or sending medical staff out weekly.

Secretary of the mission, Swami Tadananda, has revealed plans to introduce a new software system in the country, centralizing all patients’ medical documentation and opening the line of communication between them and their doctors.

“And that’s what we’re trying to do, we’re trying to bring a software IT health care product called ‘Manage My Health’ it is simply like your email system or your internet banking, you log in with your username and password and you have an electronic portal in which your information has been put there yourselves’.

The Ramakrishna Mission is a charitable organisation and has been in communication with the software providers who are based in New Zealand.

They will be working with Life Insurance Corporation of India and hope to sign an MOU with the Ministry of Health to begin
