Planned water shutdown for Nausori residents

The Water Authority will be commissioning a pipeline from Waila Treatment Plant to Duilomaloma Road this Sunday – which will affect water supply for the whole of Nausori.

General Manager Customer Services, Sekove Uluinayau says the shutdown will be from 6am Sunday to 6am Monday.

Uluinayau says about 50,000 Nausori residents will be affected.

He is urging customers to store sufficient water for back-up supply.

He says they will be placing water tanks at strategic locations in all affected areas.

WAF is also urging Fijians to boil drinking water as flood waters may have entered the water systems.
