Pineapple ice cream and Maui Magic Shakes are becoming popular at Suva’s monthly Roc Market.
The Pineapple Hut Fiji owner, Gelnys says pineapple ice-cream was introduced at the market over two years ago after they were successful in a similar concept in New Zealand.
“It’s actually as family business that we do in other places like we do it in New Zealand, we doing it next weekend for the Big Pacifica Festival we will be there, our branch there is called Hawaiian pineapple hut so it’s kind of a family business that we started some years ago.”
Gelnys says there’s always a high demand of the two products especially during the hot weather like today.
Roc Market which is held on the 3rd Sunday of every month…. has been a great platform for many people to start-up small businesses and sell homemade food or handmade crafts.
