The Commissioner of Police, Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho has confirmed that the photos of alleged abuse of men suspected of marijuana cultivation are in no way linked to the on-going Operation Cavuraka and are in fact old photos.

The photos circulating on social media, show the alleged misconduct of officers during a marijuana farm raid.

Brigadier General Qiliho stated police will investigate claims of alleged mistreatment of those seen in the photos.

The Commissioner says no further comments will be made until the investigation is complete.
