Permanent secretaries to submit reports

The Public Service Commission has directed all Permanent Secretaries not to delay submitting their reports on the unauthorised use of government vehicles after hours.
Permanent Secretary Parmesh Chand says permanent secretaries will have to foot the cost, if they fail to submit their reports on time.
While no one has been surcharged yet, Chand says they will not be taking the matter lightly.
All Permanent Secretaries have been instructed to investigate every incident, and confirm whether action should be taken against the driver.
Last month, the military seized more than thirty vehicles at snap check-points.
Vehicles seen on the road after hours without permission are still being seized.
