Performance Management System in place for all civil servants

The government has allocated fifty-two million dollars to the Ministry of Civil Service and this comes with new initiatives as well.

Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says the Performance Management System is now fully in place for all civil servants.

Sayed-Khaiyum says assessments are also being carried out to reward those who deserve it.

“Job evaluation exercise last year has already led to record pay rises for Fijian Civil Servants. We are now allocating the full value of the salary increase across government, Civil Servants will continue to receive the highest salaries the only change being that ministries budget will now truly reflect the salaries of the respective staff”

Sayed-Khaiyum adds more pay rise is expected for high performing civil servants and Scarce Skills Allowance will also be introduced.
