The People’s Democratic Party has officially lodged a complaint to the Electoral Commission against its former General Secretary, Aman Singh alleging he stole the party’s Facebook page.
FBC News believes the page was administered by Singh while he was with PDP however changed the name of the page when he switched allegiance to the Fiji Labour Party.
The alleged page still has pictures and posts of some current and former PDP members who have now joined other parties.
PDP’s Interim General Secretary Pearl Antonio has confirmed to FBC News she wrote the letter however did not reveal any further details as they are awaiting a response from the Electoral Commission.
Commission Chair, Suresh Chandra says they have received the complaint and have given time to Singh to respond.
The Chair says further discussions will be held on the complaint during their monthly meeting next week.
Meanwhile, Aman Singh says he is working on his reply.
