“The successful tenants, they names should be out this week sometimes by Thursday or Friday. At the moment I am looking at it very thoroughly but I also take into consideration for people that there are some needs from government that we are suppose to attend to. I will look into those areas and making sure that when I put people in, it’s the right people to go in and not just anyone.”

Qalowasa says 34 successful applicants will be given the units as only forty units are part of the second phase.

The 40 units consist of two and three bedroom houses ranging from fifty to sixty thousand dollars

He adds the other six of the forty units have already been occupied by the six families that were victims of a fire at the Muslim League settlement last year.

The PCN has received the occupancy certificate for the Housing and is awaiting the approval from the government to release the units to successful applicants.
