Past experiences with Fijian administration left behind: Peters

New Zealand Foreign Affairs Minister Winston Peters says past experiences with the Fijian administration has been left behind.

Peters is leading a New Zealand Government delegation on a Pacific regional visit beginning with Fiji today.

Climate change, Winston says will be one of the major topics on the Agenda during the NZ Pacific tour.

He adds New Zealand is committed to building deeper partnerships with Pacific neighbors.

“Well they had election in 2014 and they had one in 2018 so the past is a past in that context and we have get on with building a better future together.”

The delegation includes Minister for Pacific Peoples, Aupito William Sio, and Associate Minister for Pacific Peoples, Carmel Sepuloni, Parliamentarians Poto Williams, Alfred Ngaro, and Darroch Ball.

The New Zealand delegation will be travelling to Tuvalu and Kiribati after Fiji.
