A passenger who was traveling in a vehicle that was involved in a fatal accident on Tuesday last week along Yaqara, Kings Road in Rakiraki has passed away at the Lautoka Hospital.

The 21-year-old victim was admitted in critical condition with the second passenger, another 21-year-old woman since the day of the accident.

The victim passed away yesterday afternoon.

The other woman remains admitted and in critical condition.

The driver had died at the scene after been trapped inside the vehicle.

Police say initial information gathered indicates the three might have been drunk, however this will be verified through the investigation process.

The road death toll now stands at 29 compared to 30 for the same period last year.
